Remembrance Day is always a very poignant day at Wick. We are proud of our partnership with MoD St Athan and we would usually be joined by service personnel, veterans, families and friends for our Act of Remembrance. However, this year things had to be different. As we expected our year six children rose to the occasion recording a heart moving Act of Remembrance that was shared with all our families on Remembrance morning via our Google classrooms.
Then, for the first time this year the whole school gathered, socially distanced, on our school playground. Our values garden was transformed into a garden of remembrance as Dosbarth Illtud led a spine tingling silent reflection. A truly memorable moment in these difficult times but a chance for all of us here at Wick to remember. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
